Peer Review Process

Laser Technology implements a three-review systembased on peer review (editor's first review, expert's external review, editor'sfinal review). The editorial department judges whether to employ the author'smanuscript by letting experts in the same field review the manuscript to ensurethe academic quality of the journal. The identity of the reviewer isconfidential, and the manuscript will also be treated as private information.

We encourageauthors to recommend reviewers or suggest avoiding a reviewer when submitting amanuscript. The author can also provide the editor with any supplementarymaterials that are helpful for review after submitting the manuscript.

The specificprocess of manuscript processing is as follows:

1. Receipt:After receiving the submission, the editorial department will register themanuscript and send a receipt to all the authors, informing them of the numberof the manuscript and the account number of the author when logging on thewebsite to query the manuscript.

2.Preliminary review: If there are any of the following problems, the manuscriptwill be rejected or it is suggested to submit it to other magazines. (1) Itdoes not conform to the purpose and scope of this magazine; (2) No novelty, repeat previous work; (3) Too many similar manuscripts and duplicate contents;(4) The opinions are vague, the logic is chaotic, and the readability islacking; (5) Academic misconduct test results: the total repetition rateexceeds 10%; (6) The test or theoretical research has obvious defects, the datais not detailed, and the chart has obvious errors.

 3. Externalreview: The editor submits the paper to two external review experts for peerreview. Review the specific contents such as innovation, academic level andpreciseness of the article. In principle, the review time is required to be 21days. In case of disagreement in peer review, a third expert will be selectedto review the draft. If the reviewer requests to review after revision, theeditor will implement the decision of returning the revision in combinationwith the reviewer's comments and the specifications of this publication, andreview after revision; If the revised paper does not meet the requirements, itmay also be rejected. If the two reviewers agree and suggest to publish afterrevision, it will be returned to the author for revision. If more than twoexperts suggest "rejection", the editorial department will reject themanuscript.

4.Editor-in-chief final review: Editor-in-chief of the editorial departmentreviews the manuscript regularly. The submitting editor shall submit themanuscript, preliminary review comments and external review comments to thechief editor for final review. The editor-in-chief decides whether to adopt themanuscript according to the situation of the manuscript and the comments of thepreliminary review and review, and sends the final review comments back to theresponsible editor for manuscript processing.
